Compare the amount of user control, time to useful feedback, visibility of evidence, cost of correcting mistakes, and complexity of implementation.
Questions to ask
Can the user inspect the AI result before it changes anything?
Does the interface show sources, assumptions, progress, and uncertainty?
Can the user undo, retry, edit, or recover from a failed action?
Is a simpler pattern enough for the actual risk and frequency of the task?
