長いバー上の可動あごで材料を締め付け、接着・組立・位置保持に使うクランプ。開口寸法、締付力、あご形状を対象物に合わせて選ぶ。

Bar-type clamp with adjustable jaws used to hold parts during gluing, assembly, or positioning. Capacity, clamping force, and jaw shape should suit the workpiece.

• 締付面を平行に当て、必要に応じて当て材で仕上げ面を保護する。
• 必要以上に締め込み、材料の変形や接着剤の過度な押し出しを起こさない。
• バーの曲がり、ねじ・送り機構、あご部の損傷を点検する。

• Seat the jaws squarely and use protective pads where finished surfaces could be marked.
• Do not overtighten to the point of deforming the workpiece or squeezing out excessive adhesive.
• Inspect the bar, screw or sliding mechanism, and jaws for damage.
