How to Use Screenshot Stitcher
Screenshot Stitcher combines multiple screenshots vertically into one long image. Everything runs locally in your browser.
1. What this tool does
- Add multiple PNG, JPEG, or WebP images
- Align image widths by maximum width, minimum width, or custom width
- Optionally trim near-solid top and bottom margins
- Export as PNG, WebP, or JPEG
- Split very tall output into multiple images and save them as a ZIP file
2. Basic steps
- Drop screenshots into the add area, or click it to choose files.
- Adjust width mode, custom width, gap, background, and output format if needed.
- Enable margin trimming only when you want to remove solid top or bottom areas.
- Click Build preview and check the result.
- Click Download or Split ZIP export.
3. Supported formats
Supported formats are PNG, JPEG, and WebP. HEIC, BMP, TIFF, and PDF are not supported.
Convert HEIC files to PNG, JPEG, or WebP before using this tool.
4. Warnings and errors
- If output height exceeds 20000px, split export is recommended.
- If output height exceeds 30000px, Split ZIP export is strongly recommended.
- If total pixels are high, mobile devices or older browsers may fail.
- Unsupported file types are skipped and shown in the status message.
5. Output formats
- PNG: best for UI screenshots and text. Larger files, but less visual damage.
- WebP: useful when you want smaller files. Some old environments may not support it.
- JPEG: useful for photos. Text and UI details may become slightly blurred.
6. When to use Split ZIP
Very long images may fail in some apps, browsers, or image viewers. Split height lets you save separate image parts inside a ZIP file.
Recommended split height: 12000-18000px.
7. Margin trim caution
Margin trimming removes near-solid top and bottom areas. It may also remove white headers, navigation bars, or useful spacing. Always check the preview before saving.
8. FAQ
Are images uploaded to a server?
No. Image processing runs in your browser.
Can it hide text automatically?
No. This is a stitching tool. Use Image Redact first when needed.
Can I save immediately after changing settings?
No. Changing settings invalidates the old preview. Build the preview again before saving.
9. Disclaimer
Always check the output yourself before using it.
